Some days everything is lost. But this amazing little meme is going around the Internet like crazy. Simple problem. Simple and amazing solution. I wonder how many people buy the book just out of Gratitude. I wonder how many people make a little poster out of the principles? I know I am. I wonder how many people would buy the poster?
And how right on this is. I find it difficult to show a client how much the project costs. But this provides a very straightforward presentation and so either you estimate the hours or simply record them.
Mr. Lube Okay I have to admit I'm impressed. I got a nice personalized letter from the manager of the the Lube shop I went to last week. As one of my buddies says "They look to the uninformed market and upsell like crazy." Did I really need that new PCV valve? No probably not but at least they didn't try to upsell me on my clean air filter. And they caught the broken CV boot. Fo a guy on the fly who doesn't want to mess with oil and lube... a great deal. Chance Ruder came to my attention yesterday through a blog that I read regularly. 14 years old and making a difference in the world that he would like to see. Reads like he had a pretty unique upbringing but still a pretty amazing story.
The founder of Netscape gave an interview in the mid nineties to the Smithsonian. Inspiring? Absolutely. Plain no nonsense guy that loved making things accessible to people.
